A quote template is a ready quote form you complete instead of starting from a blank page. The document opens with the title Quote, then a quote number and quote date. Valid Until is optional; add it when the proposed price should expire. Your business details sit opposite the customer. Line items describe the goods or services, with quantity, rate, and an optional line discount. Overall tax can be added when it applies. The summary ends on Quote Total, not a remaining balance.

Notes are for scope or assumptions. Terms are optional conditions for this quote. A signature is optional. Payment terms, amount paid, and balance due belong on an invoice, not on this quote form.
